Thursday Night 5QF Sneak Peek!!

Well...we're here! And...better yet, we made it all in one piece! We were not without delays...a car sick kiddo, 18 thousand, "I gotta pee!!"'s, and a couple of stops to gas up. We left our home at 5:40am and arrived in Rapid City, SD at 9:30 pm.

Waaayyyyy long than even my most conservative guess!

But, bottom line is we made it safely.

I'm cranky, my throat hurts and if my darn kids don't fall asleep soon, I'm checking myself into a hotel.

Anyway...onto the sneak peek! (Sorry it's so internet access on the road...) Remember that this post is just your chance to get a quick peek at the questions and get your post all ready to go for tomorrow, when the linky will be up!

Rules for Five Question Friday: Copy and paste the following questions to your blog post, answer them, then c'mon back (tomorrow) for the linky! Since 5QF is "on location" this week, I think I'm gonna vlog it from the camper...scratchy voice and stuffy nose and all!

Questions for Friday, August 6: (Special thanks to Jill, Sandy, Bethany, Bethany (again, but different), and Danielle for their question suggestions! If you'd like to be linked in a future 5QF, just head on over to my community and offer up your best!)

1. Are you a neat sleeper or a messy sleeper?

2. Fill in the blank. I wish I was more ________________.

3. What is something that you wish you had been warned about?

4. What was the best thing you ever found at a garage sale/flea market?

5. If you could have any meal brought to you right now, what would it be?

Okay...same gig as the other weeks...I'll see you back here bright and early!

  1. so glad you are there safely! And you should be commended for surviving such a long trip without leaving any kids on the side of the road! Hope you get some awesome sleep tonight!

  2. Oh, and I clicked on my link, and it's not working. :( If you get a chance, ya know, cause you're not on vacation or anything... could you change it to ? I'd especially appreciate it since I have a post there that I did to try to help a woman get her Etsy shop up and running. Any additional traffic would help her out a lot!

Come here looking for the tutorial? It can be found here:  Halo Braid Tutorial!  Let me know how it goes! I had something in mind to try on Baby Girl's hair the other best bud, Dr. J, did something similar to it on Belle once, and I was trying to replicate it. Instead, I got this: Isn't it pretty?! It didn't take nearly as long as it looks and isn't nearly as intricate as it looks! Vlog tutorial coming soon...(for those of you waiting, I'm sorry it's taking me so long!)

Halo Braid Tutorial!

How appropriate, "halo braid", no?! ;) Finally, I have this ready for you...I apologize for the delay! This braid looks intricate, but is really quite easy and quick to pull off...the original video (prior to the warp speed the video to see what I mean) was just a bit over 8 minutes long...not too shabby! So, here you go...right in time for you to try it out on your little girl for Easter!

Crock-Pot Fajitas

You! Yes, YOU!! You must stop whatevertheheck it is that you are doing, and make this recipe. Right now. Tonight. Well...wait. You should probably finish reading this post you know how to make it... But then...STOP! STOP everything, make this, and thank me later! Oh, hold it...wait just a sec (again)...actually, I got this recipe from Melissa...yes, the Melissa of this story ! And this story ...which, the same story, just told two different ways! ;) So, you can thank her...I guess. Well, in any event...prepare your tastebuds to be tantalized! You'll need this: And, this: You'll also need chicken breasts or steak, but since photographing your "main ingredient" is, like, soooo passe, I've left it out. ( Ahem... ) Just keepin ' up with the times, friend. So...slice up those peppers and onions into cute little strips... And...try your best to not slice up the little fingers that are sneaking away pepper strips... (Lemme just inte
