Puke Sucks.

Last night, I returned home from work around 12:30 (after driving on stress inducing, snowy/icy/drifty/slushy roads...ugh.) and wasn't in the door more than 5 minutes when I heard the unmistakable sounds of one of my children in the process of vomiting.

Not quite happening...but about to.

I sprinted down the hall...listening carefully to see whose room it was coming from, then dashed to the bedside of the one who was making these noises. I grabbed a cereal box from his garbage (don't ask why it was in there...I'm just thankful it was!!) and offered it to him for a barf bucket.

Miraculously...I caught him before there was ANY mess! NONE!

One more chirping session, and he slept the rest of the night.

Woke up this morning totally fine. Totally.

I don't get it.

  1. Good thinking with the cereal box!!! Puke is the WORST. I'd rather marinate for an hour in poo than spend a minute dealing with chuck. Ew.

  2. Wow- if every episode of urp would be that "easy" I wouldn't dread it so much!

  3. So weird! Maybe it was something he ate before he went to bed?!?!

  4. Thank god he's fine in the morning. I hate the 24/48 hour spurts of the stomach flu where they vomit for hours.

    Food poisoning???

  5. Woah, you've got skills!

I've been up to my elbows in viruses at my house this week. Fun times, I tell ya!

Hope you don't mind me sticking around to follow your blog for a while. I love your humorous tone and was looking for a new one to add to my list!

Come here looking for the tutorial? It can be found here:  Halo Braid Tutorial!  Let me know how it goes! I had something in mind to try on Baby Girl's hair the other day...my best bud, Dr. J, did something similar to it on Belle once, and I was trying to replicate it. Instead, I got this: Isn't it pretty?! It didn't take nearly as long as it looks and isn't nearly as intricate as it looks! Vlog tutorial coming soon...(for those of you waiting, I'm sorry it's taking me so long!)

Halo Braid Tutorial!

How appropriate, "halo braid", no?! ;) Finally, I have this ready for you...I apologize for the delay! This braid looks intricate, but is really quite easy and quick to pull off...the original video (prior to the warp speed braiding...watch the video to see what I mean) was just a bit over 8 minutes long...not too shabby! So, here you go...right in time for you to try it out on your little girl for Easter!

Oh, hold it...wait just a sec (again)...actually, I got this recipe from Melissa...yes, the Melissa of this story ! And this story ...which, well...is the same story, just told two different ways! ;) So, you can thank her...I guess. Well, in any event...prepare your tastebuds to be tantalized! You'll need this: And, this: You'll also need chicken breasts or steak, but since photographing your "main ingredient" is, like, soooo passe, I've left it out. ( Ahem... ) Just keepin ' up with the times, friend. So...slice up those peppers and onions into cute little strips... And...try your best to not slice up the little fingers that are sneaking away pepper strips... (Lemme just inte
