Monday...

After a long, hard battle, a church/school father passed away last week, leaving behind his wife and 4 young children.

The funeral was today, and man alive...funeral's are exhausting. I arrived at church just as mama and her kiddos were saying their final goodbyes before the casket was closed and...whoa...was that emotional.

I sat there amidst a sea of muted shades of browns, blacks and blues and there was not a dry eye when the sweet little 3 year old wrapped her arms around her hurting mama and hugged her neck.

Once again, I was reminded of how fragile life is. How quickly a life can go from vibrant and lively to...gone.

Now, I am off to work...so I started my day at one end of the life spectrum and I will end it at the opposite end.

  3. So sad, when folks are taken too young. Hoping that the mother and children--as well as all his friends and family-- will find comfort in their memories, and each other.

I had something in mind to try on Baby Girl's hair the other day...my best bud, Dr. J, did something similar to it on Belle once, and I was trying to replicate it. Instead, I got this: Isn't it pretty?! It didn't take nearly as long as it looks and isn't nearly as intricate as it looks! Vlog tutorial coming soon...(for those of you waiting, I'm sorry it's taking me so long!)

So, here you go...right in time for you to try it out on your little girl for Easter!

And this story ...which, well...is the same story, just told two different ways! ;) So, you can thank her...I guess. Well, in any event...prepare your tastebuds to be tantalized! You'll need this: And, this: You'll also need chicken breasts or steak, but since photographing your "main ingredient" is, like, soooo passe, I've left it out. ( Ahem... ) Just keepin ' up with the times, friend. So...slice up those peppers and onions into cute little strips... And...try your best to not slice up the little fingers that are sneaking away pepper strips... (Lemme just inte...
