Date Night, and our new "Date"!

Last night's date proved to be...well...interesting. It deserves a post all of it's own...but let's just say it involved "boot's", deaf ears, and a bad case of the giggles.

To say I made (yet another) impression is an understatement!

Gosh...sometimes, I embarrass even myself. (Well, okay...I wasn't that bad!! At least I don't think...)

But, onto our Date of the Week!!

This week's Date is:

Photobucket

Since we moved hundreds of miles away from EVERYONE I needed somewhere to turn to make up for lost time and gossip with my gals, "My Happy Hour" was born in January of 2010. I'm still learning how to properly care for my new baby (blog) but it's always screaming to be feed by new followers and never lets me sleep! "My Happy hour" is what I won't talk to my husband about, so watch out!

Head on over to pay Brandy a visit, she has the most adorable "baby bump" video! And, tell her Mama sent you!

And now...I'm off to finish enjoying the rest of this gorgeous day! See ya tomorrow!

  1. Hi Mama M,
I've been wanting to come over and make a comment about your Catholic post but I always seem to have my hands full and now I can't find it. Anyways, I can really relate to what you were saying. I am a little leary about confessing my affinity with the Catholic church among other Christians. Most of them assume I just don't know enough about "what the church teaches." One thing I've learned is that you can't learn about the Catholic church from a non-Catholic. I also find myself in an awkward situation because even though it would be my choice to be Catholic, it is not my husband's choice so we attend a Christian and Missionary Alliance Church together. I sort of feel out of place in both groups. Thankfully I have some very good friends on both sides so that's enough for me to feel supported.

I've had people tell me that it was okay to attend Mass if my husband allowed it. Funny! One church service is enough of a challenge these days and I'm trusting God understands on this one.

    Blessing to you!

Come here looking for the tutorial? It can be found here:  Halo Braid Tutorial!  Let me know how it goes! I had something in mind to try on Baby Girl's hair the other day...my best bud, Dr. J, did something similar to it on Belle once, and I was trying to replicate it. Instead, I got this: Isn't it pretty?! It didn't take nearly as long as it looks and isn't nearly as intricate as it looks! Vlog tutorial coming soon...(for those of you waiting, I'm sorry it's taking me so long!)

Halo Braid Tutorial!

How appropriate, "halo braid", no?! ;) Finally, I have this ready for you...I apologize for the delay! This braid looks intricate, but is really quite easy and quick to pull off...the original video (prior to the warp speed braiding...watch the video to see what I mean) was just a bit over 8 minutes long...not too shabby! So, here you go...right in time for you to try it out on your little girl for Easter!

You should probably finish reading this post first...you know...so you know how to make it... But then...STOP! STOP everything, make this, and thank me later! Oh, hold it...wait just a sec (again)...actually, I got this recipe from Melissa...yes, the Melissa of this story ! And this story ...which, well...is the same story, just told two different ways! ;) So, you can thank her...I guess. Well, in any event...prepare your tastebuds to be tantalized! You'll need this: And, this: You'll also need chicken breasts or steak, but since photographing your "main ingredient" is, like, soooo passe, I've left it out. ( Ahem... ) Just keepin ' up with the times, friend. So...slice up those peppers and onions into cute little strips... And...try your best to not slice up the little fingers that are sneaking away pepper strips... (Lemme just inte...
