Getting to know Mama

Did you come lookin' for the Lucy the Lamb giveaway?!! Click here!!

-----------------------------------------------

Keely's
got a fun little blog fiesta goin' down...thought I'd join in, 'cuz it's Sunday...it's getting late...my brain is fah-ried (um..that's fried, with an emphasis on the fah...), and my belly is so full it's gonna burst.

If I don't make it through this post...please call 911--tell them something horrible has happened to Mama M., 'cuz she doesn't know when to leave well enough alone, in regards to food.

Tell them to wear haz-mat suits...'cuz it's gonna be nasty.

Thank you.

Okay, now...continuing on.

So, the blog par-tay...here we go...

1. How old are you?

32

2.Where are you from and where do you live now?

Born and raised in the same dang Central MinneSOOOta town.

How boring is that?

3. What music have you been diggin' lately?

Definitely Christmas music. Christmas Muzak. Christmas myouzik.

I can not exist without it at the moment. It's like air to me.

4. Favorite food(s)?

Ugh...did you see my above disclaimer?

Let's not talk about food...I've almost made it through this post in one piece...I'd hate for my children to witness the exploding of their mother right before Christmas.

So, no food talk.

5. Single, married, divorced?

Married.

Happily (most of the time), blissfully (most of the time), passionately (most oh, who am I kidding...who has time for that?!!), wonderously (most of the time) married.

I love my hubby. I love my hubby, a lot.

And I'm glad he's mine.

6. Kids? If so, how many and how old?

5 kiddos. 13 (boy), 8 (girl), 6 (boy), 4 (boy), 22 months (girl).

7. What are 3 blogs you read daily?

Is this a trick question? Everyone evades it...I'll give a "kinda" answer.

The Pioneer Woman. MckMama.

And a whole buncha others that keep me from doing laundry, and making supper, and taking showers, and vacuuming/dusting/mopping/sweeping/wiping counters/etc.

8. What is your favorite Christmas/Holiday tradition?

Christmas Eve at my mama's.

Food...family...fun...and lot's of presents.

9. Lastly, if you're a blogger, how long have you been blogging and if you don't have one..how long have you been reading blogs?

I have been blogging since April. I got sucked in with sweet little Stellan in Marchish...quickly became addicted, and decided to join in.

It's been nothing but fun and awesomeness since!! Who knew there were such fantastic strangers out there?!!

I always thought Internet strangers were a little creepy. And, well...strange. Turns out, I'm one of those creepy Internet strangers...and everyone else I've "met"?

Awesome. Totally, completely, normally awesome! ;)

  6. Nice to officially meet you!!
I answered Keely too. Dirty chicken is just like rotisserie chicken with a salvadoran flair and it is D-E-LISH, but enough about that I wouldn't want to add to your current situation.

  7. My husband was in MinneSOOOOOta a few times this year, he started working for Malt-O-Meal last October and had to fly up there for training. He loved it (and everyone he met loved hearing him talk with his SUUUUTHern accent)

Good to "get to know" you! :)

Come here looking for the tutorial? It can be found here:  Halo Braid Tutorial!  Let me know how it goes! I had something in mind to try on Baby Girl's hair the other day...my best bud, Dr. J, did something similar to it on Belle once, and I was trying to replicate it. Instead, I got this: Isn't it pretty?! It didn't take nearly as long as it looks and isn't nearly as intricate as it looks! Vlog tutorial coming soon...(for those of you waiting, I'm sorry it's taking me so long!)

Halo Braid Tutorial!

How appropriate, "halo braid", no?! ;) Finally, I have this ready for you...I apologize for the delay! This braid looks intricate, but is really quite easy and quick to pull off...the original video (prior to the warp speed braiding...watch the video to see what I mean) was just a bit over 8 minutes long...not too shabby! So, here you go...right in time for you to try it out on your little girl for Easter!

Crock-Pot Fajitas

You! Yes, YOU!! You must stop whatevertheheck it is that you are doing, and make this recipe. Right now. Tonight. Well...wait. You should probably finish reading this post first...you know...so you know how to make it... But then...STOP! STOP everything, make this, and thank me later! Oh, hold it...wait just a sec (again)...actually, I got this recipe from Melissa...yes, the Melissa of this story ! And this story ...which, well...is the same story, just told two different ways! ;) So, you can thank her...I guess. Well, in any event...prepare your tastebuds to be tantalized! You'll need this: And, this: You'll also need chicken breasts or steak, but since photographing your "main ingredient" is, like, soooo passe, I've left it out. ( Ahem... ) Just keepin ' up with the times, friend. So...slice up those peppers and onions into cute little strips... And...try your best to not slice up the little fingers that are sneaking away pepper strips... (Lemme just inte...
