In Real Time...Part ?

Sitting here, picking dried, peeling, flaky skin off my nose and thinking that next time I go in the sun, Imma buy me some of that zinc stuff that the lifeguards wear in the movies.

Trying to decide how best to plan our day tomorrow...the Belle had part of a filling fall out this weekend (ouch) which needs to be fixed ASAP, she has tennis, and The Pal starts his Sub-District Playoffs tomorrow for VFW baseball.

The Mr. and I have a baby laying between us (I know she's 3...but she will always and forever be our baby and that is how I will always and forever refer to her. Even when she's 50 and griping to me about menopause.) who is restless and hot. Dang, what is it about kids and their ability to crank out the BTU's?!

Is that right? BTU? Is that a measure of heat? It sounds right, so I'm going with it.

Okay...I'm off to write up some much more interesting and visually appealing posts for tomorrow...and, I've gotta get that Creamy Cucumber recipe up that I promised you a while back!

Night friends...see ya tomorrow!

  1. Creamy cucumber? We make something that might be similar-pickles (small cukes), soaked in vinegar and water then drained mostly and add sour cream, salt, pepper. Mmm. One of my favorite summer veggie dishes.

Vlog tutorial coming soon...(for those of you waiting, I'm sorry it's taking me so long!)

Halo Braid Tutorial!

This braid looks intricate, but is really quite easy and quick to pull off...the original video (prior to the warp speed braiding...watch the video to see what I mean) was just a bit over 8 minutes long...not too shabby! So, here you go...right in time for you to try it out on your little girl for Easter!

You should probably finish reading this post first...you know...so you know how to make it... But then...STOP! STOP everything, make this, and thank me later! Oh, hold it...wait just a sec (again)...actually, I got this recipe from Melissa...yes, the Melissa of this story ! And this story ...which, well...is the same story, just told two different ways! ;) So, you can thank her...I guess. Well, in any event...prepare your tastebuds to be tantalized! You'll need this: And, this: You'll also need chicken breasts or steak, but since photographing your "main ingredient" is, like, soooo passe, I've left it out. ( Ahem... ) Just keepin ' up with the times, friend. So...slice up those peppers and onions into cute little strips... And...try your best to not slice up the little fingers that are sneaking away pepper strips... (Lemme just inte
