Okay, so, technically it's Friday morning, and, I almost considered just skipping the "sneak peek" but I thought "what if someone in California is doing nothing but sitting around with nothing to do", so I decided to just go with it. I stared at the computer screen last night, trying to think of something to write, but all I heard in my head was "I'm so tired. I'm so exhausted. I just need to sleep. I'm so tired." so I gave up, shut the lights off and suddenly I was unable to sleep. 2 glasses of cherry Coke at suppertime, perhaps? Ugh. Woke up this morning feeling...tired. Dubya's class mass was this morning, so Baby and I brought the kids to school then went to mass. Came home, she began watching The Pioneer Woman on the iPad and I promptly fell asleep beside her. Best nap ever! Speaking of P-Dub, I just took the Love Language test (she had a link on her blog) and scored 11 for "Quality Time" as my love language. Doesn't surprise me in the least! Surprisingly, however, (note my sarcasm font) I scored a big, fat ZERO for "Gifts"...apparently I've received one too many chocolate covered strawberry-type gifts from my husband to even have any sort of a whi...

Gram's Hot Beefs...oh how I remember my childhood being filled with these! Interesting little tidbit...back in the day, Gram used to pick it up from the butcher, cook it, and bring it back to the butcher to have them slice it for her. Stupid food regulations now prohibit the butcher from slicing cooked meat, or meat that's been taken out of the store, or meat that's been brought into the store, or something like that...so, for years and years now, Gram hasn't made her hot beefs because she knew she couldn't cut it the way she liked it cut. Well, we remedied that hot beef dry spell! Gram had the idea to cook it in the crock-pot and then shred it, rather than slice and oh my dear heavens, was it wonderful to have her hot beefs again! I think I almost cried. I'm also going to share her sandwich spread at the end...I used to think I didn't like it and I JUST discovered how ridiculously delicious it is! Secret ingredient involved... Eleven years ago, at approximately this very minute, I gave one last mighty heave and we welcomed our first born baby girl into the world.     Little did we know that the beautiful baby we were head over heels in love with, would become more and more beautiful with each passing year. This girl's heart? It is so wonderful. She radiates with joy and love and her beauty that comes from within outshines her breathtaking physical beauty. She is the perfect mix of girly-girl and tomboy. She loves clothes, has since she was a toddler (that's my girl!), loves getting her nails done, her hair done, and going shopping but just as much as all of that? She adores horses, her dogs, getting rough and tumble with her brothers, and getting dirty. Within the last year or so, I have watched her become a caretaker...she helps our daycare family with supper, she loves caring for babies and little ones and they quickly become comfortable in her care...she is definitely ...

One of Friday's 5QF questions what about wedding dresses...and I promised I'd post mine. (Sure, I promised that it would be Friday and now it's Monday but psh, who's keeping track?) And, because I'm a woman of my word...even if it is several days late...here you go!     Look how ridiculously young my husband looks! He looks like he's 12! I feel so dirty now. Like I robbed the cradle, or something.   I love this...digging up this photo led me to browse through our wedding photos and wow. That walk down memory lane? So fun. Brings back so many feelings of starting "the rest of your life" with the one you love.   I am one blessed woman. 

What a weekend! And let me just tell you, my calves are feeling it. Which probably leads you to believe that I've been hiking in the Andes or running marathons or something, but let me reassure you that that is not, indeed, what I did this weekend. I know, hard to believe, right? I mean, I would TOTALLY scale Kilimanjaro on a weekend. Wait. Is that in the Andes? Nevermind. Pretend you never read that. My hubby's adorable cousin tied the knot this weekend...his whole family was there and it was one heckuva good time. As evidenced by my superb dancing skills. Those type of dancing skills come only after 2.05 Bloody Marys...before that? Elaine Benes. After that? Elaine Benes...but I just think I look like Julianne Hough. Seriously, I think I'm going to start a new fitness craze. I'm going to hold "wedding dances" where each attendee must consume just the right amount of booze to loosen them up (hey, that might not be ANY for you!) and then?...

Holy hallelujah am I excited that it's Friday!! It's a busy weekend, but it's a FAMILY weekend, so I guess I'll put up with the busy. The last two weeks of my life have been chaotic. And next week doesn't look any better. *sob* I love life when we have no plans. No responsibilities to be anywhere or do anything or see anyone. September has been consumed by responsibilities and I am ready to veg. But I can't. So, I'll just forge through and whine and complain about it the whole time. ;) Anyway...
