The 4th Annual "Mr. Wonderfulest Contest"!

From the inception of this blog...when it was just a wee couple of months old, I have hosted an annual "Mr. Wonderfulest Contest" and I am letting you know that this year is no exception! I KNOW we all have some pretty terrific Father's in our lives, whether that Father is our husband or our own dad or a brother or an uncle, or heck, even a neighbor you look up to, and they all  deserve to be celebrated! I also know that many of us write "tributes" to the Father's in our lives in honor of Father's Day, and that is where this contest comes into play!  Edited to add: All you need to do is write a post, like you normally do, for a special Father in your life, whether it be single word bullet points, a paragraph or two, or a novel-length post, and link it up when the linky opens! Then, call on all of your friends, family, neighbors, brother's girlfriend's aunt's cousin's daughter, whomever it takes to start voting for you! (There will b...

Mr. Wonderfulest Update!

Well, the voting continues on the " Mr. Wonderfulest Contest "! After a small snafu (I was informed by a kind voter) with the "Like" voting function being turned off when the Linky was closed to entries, I reopened the linky so that voting could continue until Sunday! Wow...there are some great posts honoring fabulous men out there! Also, to make voting easier, I made it so that each link opens in a new window, so you don't have to click back and forth! Spread the word, send your family and friends on over to vote for your guy! And, with that...I will bring you a much more exciting (maybe) post later today!

My Love...and the 3rd Annual Mr. Wonderfulest Contest!

Here it is...the 3rd Annual Mr. Wonderfulest Contest! Every year, I have the most difficult time choosing the winner...I laugh, I cry, I weep, I chuckle, I am filled with awe at the amazing men there are in this world and how lucky we are to have them in our lives! The prize up for grabs is a $50 Visa gift card (wish I could give more, but, alas, I have 7 mouths to feed...), for which the winner can treat her Mr. Wonderfulest to something fun (or, heck, use it on herself!)! All you need to do is link up your Father's Day post (we all right some kind of version of one, right? For our dads, our husbands, our fiances, or some meaningful guy in our lives, no?!) in the LinkyTools below. I will be "turning on" the "Like" function of LinkyTools and the post with the most "Likes" (with my approval, of course) by next Sunday will be the winner and carry the title of "Mr. Wonderfulest" until next year! In the event of a tie, I will choose the post that...

Heads Up! Mr. Wonderfulest Contest...SOON!

Since the dawn of this very blog, I have hosted a contest that I call, the "Mr. Wonderfulest Contest"! (Psssst...I know I made it sound as if I've done THOUSANDS of these contests...it's only the third. So?!) Well, this year is no exception! I know we all write Father's Day posts in honor of our wonderful, amazing, fabulous, devoted husbands, dads, grandpas, etc., and I love reading about each and everyone of them! The last two years, I have opened a linky for everyone to link their Father's Day posts to...then, for the following week, I pour over, debate, cry, laugh, wring my hands, pull out my hair, and, finally, enlist my husband to help me decide which entry is most deserving of the title "Mr. Wonderfulest"! (The First Mr. Wonderfulest Winner and last year's Mr. Wonderfulest Winner .) This year, however, there's gonna be a twist! LinkyTools now has a "Like" feature, and so this year YOU get to help! With my approval, the post w...

2nd Annual Mr. Wonderfulest Contest!!!

Welcome, everyone, to the 2nd Annual Mr. Wonderfulest Contest! I am so exited to "meet" and read all about YOUR Mr. Wonderfuls!! This contest was derived from my observation of tons of "mommy blog" profiles that spoke so highly of their spouse or significant other. Last year, as a fledgling blogger, and in honor of Father's Day, I hosted my very first Mr. Wonderfulest Contest . Nine people linked up...and I was totally overjoyed! I LOVED reading their stories and getting to know the "silent half" of we mommy bloggers! When Father's Day appeared on my radar this year, I just KNEW I had to do this again. So...here it is! Mr. Wonderfulest Contest Rules : Write (or vlog) a blog post about why you think YOUR Mr. Wonderful should be 2010's Mr. Wonderfulest, then come back here and link up your post! If you don't have a blog, feel free to leave your "entry" in the comments below! Remember, this doesn't have to be a husband...you can ...
