Holy Moly

I couldn't possibly let this blog go for two whole days without a post, so this is what you'll get for today...randomness?

If it rains anymore around here, we'll all be underwater. No snow during the winter and so much rain in the last few days that if we converted it to snow measurements, we'd be under at least 6 FEET of snow.

Sure is green when it's sunny, tho...

Baby got an umbrella from my Gram...you'd've thought she won the lottery! In fact, she's sleeping with it right now.

We've been watching The Pioneer Woman's Food Network show on my iPad (love that I can buy episodes off iTunes!) and I made her Cherry Limeade yesterday. Let me just tell you that it tastes EXACTLY like Sonic's. Soooooooo incredibly delicious...I spy, with my little eye our staple summer drink.

So, did y'all know I have Menier's disease? A few years ago I received a "soft" diagnosis...not officially official, but I had 4 out of 4 symptoms, just not terribly severe. Well tonight? Holy moly did I experience some vertigo.

Like, the little bits of dizziness that I've experienced before had NOTHING on this. Even got hot and queasy with it. (No, I'm not pregnant.) I am currently writing this post laying down...and, now I've gotta get started on my Tiramisu post for tomorrow!

You're gonna want to check this one out. It is soooooo good!

See you tomorrow!

  1. Hugs about the Menieres. I was dx a few years ago. It goes in waves. Did you experience much hearing loss from it? Supposedly diuretics prescription grade can help. I was on one after dx. Of course they prescribed Valium too due to the vertigo. I haven t been that desperate yet...meds scare me.

  2. We have been getting rain/thunderstorms here at night lately, and while the rain is always good (the U.P. is getting massive wildfires right now), it is summer and I long for sun and green and beach days!

Hope you have a good night and are able to get some relief from the dizziness, etc!!!

  3. My sis-in-law was just diagnosed with Menier's a few months ago... Changes in diet has helped her a lot but I know it's tough!!

Come here looking for the tutorial? It can be found here:  Halo Braid Tutorial!  Let me know how it goes! I had something in mind to try on Baby Girl's hair the other day...my best bud, Dr. J, did something similar to it on Belle once, and I was trying to replicate it. Instead, I got this: Isn't it pretty?! It didn't take nearly as long as it looks and isn't nearly as intricate as it looks! Vlog tutorial coming soon...(for those of you waiting, I'm sorry it's taking me so long!)

Halo Braid Tutorial!

How appropriate, "halo braid", no?! ;) Finally, I have this ready for you...I apologize for the delay! This braid looks intricate, but is really quite easy and quick to pull off...the original video (prior to the warp speed braiding...watch the video to see what I mean) was just a bit over 8 minutes long...not too shabby! So, here you go...right in time for you to try it out on your little girl for Easter!

Crock-Pot Fajitas

You! Yes, YOU!! You must stop whatevertheheck it is that you are doing, and make this recipe. Right now. Tonight. Well...wait. You should probably finish reading this post first...you know...so you know how to make it... But then...STOP! STOP everything, make this, and thank me later! Oh, hold it...wait just a sec (again)...actually, I got this recipe from Melissa...yes, the Melissa of this story ! And this story ...which, well...is the same story, just told two different ways! ;) So, you can thank her...I guess. Well, in any event...prepare your tastebuds to be tantalized! You'll need this: And, this: You'll also need chicken breasts or steak, but since photographing your "main ingredient" is, like, soooo passe, I've left it out. ( Ahem... ) Just keepin ' up with the times, friend. So...slice up those peppers and onions into cute little strips... And...try your best to not slice up the little fingers that are sneaking away pepper strips... (Lemme just inte
