Priceless.

60 minute use of an operating room: $10,687.00.

Eight day "room and board" for a hospital room: $14,976.00.

9 "pokes" by the lab: $2,200.00.

Knowing my little girl is healed and healthy: Priceless.

  1. Hospitals are expensive but I would work 10 jobs to make sure my buggy was OK ...She is such a doll

  3. Priceless indeed. I'm so glad she's healthy again.

Still, it's daunting. We have a $6000 per person deductible and it's killing us. Adrienne says she'd work 10 jobs and I understand the sentiment, but not the time management. I'm having a horrible time trying to figure out how to pay off my husband, son and daughter's various medical bills, not to mention the fact that we all need glasses.

  4. That is so, so, so very true. When my husband and I lost our baby, the total bill rang in around $6500....I'm pretty sure it would have been cheaper to have had a baby......but he says it was all worth it knowing I was okay.

    Love knows no bounds.

  12. Holy moly....that is expensive! Makes me thankful I live in Canada! Thank goodness for insurance. What a great picture....priceless is right!

  13. I don't think we can ever put a price on our children but it certainly makes living in Australia a joy.

All public hospital stays and operations covered by medicare which comes out of our tax, so you don't even notice it.

Glad your daughter is happy and healthy :)

    Cheers, Fi

And will say extra special thanks for living in Canada....I've had 1 knee surgery, 3 pregnancies - one of which involved a 5 week in hospital stay due to pre-term labour risk, and 3 C-Sections:
    total cost to me?

Come here looking for the tutorial? It can be found here:  Halo Braid Tutorial!  Let me know how it goes! I had something in mind to try on Baby Girl's hair the other day...my best bud, Dr. J, did something similar to it on Belle once, and I was trying to replicate it. Instead, I got this: Isn't it pretty?! It didn't take nearly as long as it looks and isn't nearly as intricate as it looks! Vlog tutorial coming soon...(for those of you waiting, I'm sorry it's taking me so long!)

Halo Braid Tutorial!

How appropriate, "halo braid", no?! ;) Finally, I have this ready for you...I apologize for the delay! This braid looks intricate, but is really quite easy and quick to pull off...the original video (prior to the warp speed braiding...watch the video to see what I mean) was just a bit over 8 minutes long...not too shabby! So, here you go...right in time for you to try it out on your little girl for Easter!

Oh, hold it...wait just a sec (again)...actually, I got this recipe from Melissa...yes, the Melissa of this story ! And this story ...which, well...is the same story, just told two different ways! ;) So, you can thank her...I guess. Well, in any event...prepare your tastebuds to be tantalized! You'll need this: And, this: You'll also need chicken breasts or steak, but since photographing your "main ingredient" is, like, soooo passe, I've left it out. ( Ahem... ) Just keepin ' up with the times, friend. So...slice up those peppers and onions into cute little strips... And...try your best to not slice up the little fingers that are sneaking away pepper strips... (Lemme just inte...
