The Elusive "Easter Photo"...

*Sigh*

All I wanted was to get a photo of my nicely dressed kids on Easter (minus their biggest bro, who was at his dad's for the holiday). Is that too much to ask?

Apparently it is...just take a look:

I wanted a photo of my kids all together...only Baby Girl wasn't having anything to do with it.

But, WAIT!! If you look close, there she is:

My efforts were futile, and I gave up as soon as this happened (dang baby bros, always gotta be goofy...but I think it's kinda cute! And, I think they are too...):

Then, Uncle J joined in the fun (i.e. torture) and mercilessly teased Belle (but, as you can see, she didn't really mind too much!):

At long last, I attempted to stage a family photo:

*Groan* I give up.

  1. Oh, you are not alone! I don't think I have one really good family photo. We've tried many times, but it never works the way I had planned. You know, life is a lot that way, so maybe it's good our photos are, too!

  6. This post makes me think of that commercial for Windows Cloud program where the mom edits faces and stuff to get the perfect photo.

I think they're cute regardless, though.

  8. This reminds me of that commercial for Windows 7 I believe? Something about a cloud? Anyway, the mom finally photoshops her kids "good" faces onto their bodies, lol!

  10. That is one gorgeous family - matters not that they couldn't all look at the camera at the same time. :) Give it about two more years and you'll have nothing but lovely shots because they will all have learned that the sooner they cooperate, the sooner it will be over!

  14. Seriously funniest thing today! Your family photos look like mine. Being a photographer and having the worst family pictures is the most embarrassing! But, you have a pretty good looking family!

  15. You know what I find funny about your attempted family photo? No matter what your kids were doing your husband was looking straight at the camera every time! LOL

Come here looking for the tutorial? It can be found here:  Halo Braid Tutorial!  Let me know how it goes! I had something in mind to try on Baby Girl's hair the other day...my best bud, Dr. J, did something similar to it on Belle once, and I was trying to replicate it. Instead, I got this: Isn't it pretty?! It didn't take nearly as long as it looks and isn't nearly as intricate as it looks! Vlog tutorial coming soon...(for those of you waiting, I'm sorry it's taking me so long!)

Halo Braid Tutorial!

How appropriate, "halo braid", no?! ;) Finally, I have this ready for you...I apologize for the delay! This braid looks intricate, but is really quite easy and quick to pull off...the original video (prior to the warp speed braiding...watch the video to see what I mean) was just a bit over 8 minutes long...not too shabby! So, here you go...right in time for you to try it out on your little girl for Easter!

Crock-Pot Fajitas

You! Yes, YOU!! You must stop whatevertheheck it is that you are doing, and make this recipe. Right now. Tonight. Well...wait. You should probably finish reading this post first...you know...so you know how to make it... But then...STOP! STOP everything, make this, and thank me later! Oh, hold it...wait just a sec (again)...actually, I got this recipe from Melissa...yes, the Melissa of this story ! And this story ...which, well...is the same story, just told two different ways! ;) So, you can thank her...I guess. Well, in any event...prepare your tastebuds to be tantalized! You'll need this: And, this: You'll also need chicken breasts or steak, but since photographing your "main ingredient" is, like, soooo passe, I've left it out. ( Ahem... ) Just keepin ' up with the times, friend. So...slice up those peppers and onions into cute little strips... And...try your best to not slice up the little fingers that are sneaking away pepper strips... (Lemme just inte...
