Do you remember?

Last weekend, on our way down to the "Big City", we stopped in a burgeoning suburb.

A burgeoning suburb that, once upon a time, was just another dot on the map..."Maple Grove".

Now filled with cobblestone streets, a "shop walk" to drool over, some fabulous restuarants, and even a hospital, Maple Grove has become more than just a dot on the map.

Way back when, when they were just any other small 'burb, they boasted something as their "claim to fame".

The Jets.

Do YOU remember The Jets? I was reminding Mr. W of them while we were passing through MG, and he had no idea what I was talking about, "Oh, that cartoon show?"

"Um, no, hon. That's the JetSON's...and they're from outer space, not Maple Grove." And then I took out my crappy handy iPhone, pulled up iTunes and typed in "The Jets". (I was sort of half expecting there NOT to be any results from my search...)

And low and behold...THERE THEY WERE!! So, I played him the preview (and sang along, if you must know...I even still know most of the words!!)...and his eyes lit up and he said, "OH! THEM!!"

Yes...them.

So...do YOU remember The Jets? To refresh your memory...

Or...how 'bout this one? Takes me right back to junior high dances...slow dancing with sweaty boys...

So, how's THAT for a blast from the past!!

  5. Oh my goodness you brought back the memories, only I just recognized the songs, didn't remember the band name. Nor did I realize they were from Maple Grove.

Come here looking for the tutorial? It can be found here:  Halo Braid Tutorial!  Let me know how it goes! I had something in mind to try on Baby Girl's hair the other day...my best bud, Dr. J, did something similar to it on Belle once, and I was trying to replicate it. Instead, I got this: Isn't it pretty?! It didn't take nearly as long as it looks and isn't nearly as intricate as it looks! Vlog tutorial coming soon...(for those of you waiting, I'm sorry it's taking me so long!)

Halo Braid Tutorial!

This braid looks intricate, but is really quite easy and quick to pull off...the original video (prior to the warp speed braiding...watch the video to see what I mean) was just a bit over 8 minutes long...not too shabby! So, here you go...right in time for you to try it out on your little girl for Easter!

You'll need this: And, this: You'll also need chicken breasts or steak, but since photographing your "main ingredient" is, like, soooo passe, I've left it out. ( Ahem... ) Just keepin ' up with the times, friend. So...slice up those peppers and onions into cute little strips... And...try your best to not slice up the little fingers that are sneaking away pepper strips... (Lemme just inte...
