Announcing, the 2nd Annual Mr. Wonderfulest Contest!

Last year, when I had all of a couple of months of blogging under my belt, I hosted my first ever Mr. Wonderfulest Contest (and my very first giveaway!!) It was a blast!

I had so much fun reading through all of the entries (all 9 of them...) that I decided I'm gonna make this a yearly thing! So...with Father's Day just a hair under two weeks away, I'm putting the word out there!

At this point in time, I'm not entirely sure what the prize will be, but I promise that it will be a good one!! Promise!

Here's the plan:

Since most of us write glowing posts about our husbands or dads (or other important father figure in our lives) on Father's Day, I figure that this will be an easy contest for most of you to enter! I will post my own Mr. Wonderful post (exempt, of course, from the contest) on Father's Day, June 20th, along with a Linky for you to link up your Mr. Wonderful post for the contest!

I will make sure to also announce what, exactly, the prize will be! I promise that I will read each and every will suffice for this contest! AND, I promise that I will agonize and fret and get gray hairs and lose sleep over which Mr. Wonderfulest to choose!

Such is life.

Any questions? Comments? Suggestions?

I'm very excited about this...I hope you are too!!!

  1. Sounds fun! And since my husband IS Mr. Wonderful, I might have to enter! :)

  2. Sounds like a lot of fun! Looking forward to reading all the posts too. :)

  3. Ohh this sounds great! I don't write too much about the hubs because it's not fair for him to not his voice on here. But I would love to tell about the wonderful things he does and honor him on Father's Day. Great contest, can't wait to read all the entries.

  4. You should do a Mr. Crap Bag contest. I would totally win!

  5. Ooooh, what a great idea!! So excited!!

  6. I am so totally in! My hubby is awesome!

  7. Yay! I love bragging about my husband:) Thanks for doing this!

  8. Cute!! CUTE! Not only will I enter, but I'll make my hub read the other entries to keep his skillz sharp ;-) You rock.

  9. I'm gonna tell my maybe baby daddy about this so he'll be on his best behavior between now and then. :)

  10. What a great idea! I simply have to enter, as my Hubby is most definitely a Super Hero!! :)

Come here looking for the tutorial? It can be found here: Halo Braid Tutorial! Let me know how it goes!
I had something in mind to try on Baby Girl's hair the other best bud, Dr. J, did something similar to it on Belle once, and I was trying to replicate it.
Instead, I got this:

Isn't it pretty?! It didn't take nearly as long as it looks and isn't nearly as intricate as it looks!
Vlog tutorial coming soon...(for those of you waiting, I'm sorry it's taking me so long!)

Halo Braid Tutorial!

How appropriate, "halo braid", no?! ;) Finally, I have this ready for you...I apologize for the delay!
This braid looks intricate, but is really quite easy and quick to pull off...the original video (prior to the warp speed the video to see what I mean) was just a bit over 8 minutes long...not too shabby!
So, here you go...right in time for you to try it out on your little girl for Easter!

Crock-Pot Fajitas

Yes, YOU!!
You must stop whatevertheheck it is that you are doing, and make this recipe. Right now.
Well...wait. You should probably finish reading this post you know how to make it...
But then...STOP! STOP everything, make this, and thank me later!
Oh, hold it...wait just a sec (again)...actually, I got this recipe from Melissa...yes, the Melissa of this story!
And this story...which, the same story, just told two different ways! ;)
So, you can thank her...I guess.
Well, in any event...prepare your tastebuds to be tantalized!
You'll need this:
And, this:

You'll also need chicken breasts or steak, but since photographing your "main ingredient" is, like, soooo passe, I've left it out. (Ahem...)
Just keepin' up with the times, friend.
So...slice up those peppers and onions into cute little strips...
And...try your best to not slice up the little fingers that are sneaking away pepper strips...
(Lemme just interject here...sorry for …
