Exciting News!!!


I was taking a late break at work last Thursday when I checked my phone and saw I had three missed calls (2 from home, 1 from my brother) and a text from my brother's girlfriend.

Let me preface this by saying that my phone is NOT Grand Central Station...and this was probably more action than it had seen all week, so I got a little worried.

I listened to my messages...nothing much, just my daughter telling me she missed me and my brother asking that I call him when I get a chance, so I shrugged my shoulders, happy to know that the world was not coming to an end.

Then, I clicked over to my brother's girlfriend's text...



SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

I, literally screamed out loud, "OH MY GOD!!!!", dropped my phone and got all teary eyed! I then called my brother and babbled and congratulated and beamed and laughed and giggled and screamed some more! Hearing that news made my night.

Scratch that, it made my year!

I was telling complete strangers that I was FINALLY getting what I've wanted my whole life...

A SISTER!!!!!!!

And, I couldn't have handpicked a better one.

Welcome to the family, K.!!

I have already declared this the "Best Christmas Ever"!!

    I felt the same way when my brother got engaged.. FINALLY the sister I had always wanted :-) Congrats to your family!

    wait wait, I'm confused. OOOOOOH OOOOOH Here I was thinking your brother's gf was pregnant and you were saying sister. I was thinking but that makes it a new niece for you. not a sister. Then I realized the RING!! I'm having such a blonde day! Congratulations!!!!

Halo Braid Tutorial!

How appropriate, "halo braid", no?! ;) Finally, I have this ready for you...I apologize for the delay! This braid looks intricate, but is really quite easy and quick to pull off...the original video (prior to the warp speed braiding...watch the video to see what I mean) was just a bit over 8 minutes long...not too shabby!
