Hey friends! I decided to join along with the Crayon Wrangler's brand spankin' new "Tuesday's Tips" blog hop! It's a spin off of her "Lessons Learned" posts!
Today's topic is: Cooking with Children
-If you cook with children, you're a better mom than me.
-Letting a small child crack eggs will certainly result in a crunchy ending.
-If "crunchy" is what you're aiming for, let them crack away!
-Cooking with small children will result in many deep breaths and totally frayed nerves.
-Totally frayed nerves are cured only by chocolate.
-Chocolate chip cookies with a mysterious crunch are not quite the remedy you were looking for.
-Next time, you'll just do it yourself.
There ya go! Join in and have some fun!!
Ha! My kids love cracking the eggs. I thank Grandma for teaching them this trick. My favorite saying when I'm cooking with the kids is "I am NOT grandma!"
ReplyDeleteGreat tips! Crunchy cookies *Ewww!!!* Thank you so much for participating in today's bloghop and helping me start it off!
ReplyDeleteNext week will be "Traveling with children"
Big hugs and smoochies!
Hey there! It has been awhile :) I think I've fallen off of the blogging earth! I hope you're doing well!
ReplyDeleteThis cracked me up! I don't have a ton of patience for cooking with my kids, but I'm working on it. The more I get them involved the less work I have for myself, right?! :)
Take care! Hugs!
I try to cook with Em, but most of the time, I leave that for "Lessons Nana Teaches". :o)
ReplyDeleteHaha...I can't wait for the next lesson. I don't think I would mind slightly "crunchy" cookies if that meant someone was providing me with cookies. Just sayin :)
ReplyDeleteI like to bake with my daughter. I expect a bit of a mess, but she loves it! I just found you and I am following! Come visit me at Mama's Little Chick.
ReplyDeleteMama Hen
Around here I'm known as the one to make "crunchy" cookies or pancakes.
ReplyDeletehahaha, those are great! my boys love to cook and they always want to help out- I let them help with their lunches... not to easy to to mess up PB&J and fruit =)
ReplyDeleteThis is a cute new meme:) Letting my 3-year-old crack eggs scares the bejezzus (sp?) out of me. I am a total germ-a-phobe. I leave that teaching lesson up to her Nana, and E. cooks breakfast with her each chance she gets:)
