Thursday Night 5QF Sneak Peek!!

One week. In one week, the "real" kick-off to the holidays begins!

I can't believe it's already time for Thanksgiving. I think our unseasonably mild weather has misled me to believe that winter is still a long way off.

Saturday is slated to change that, tho. 3-5 inches of the fluffy white stuff is expected! Sort of excited, sort of dreading it. Sunday brings a birthday celebration for my most favorite 7 (almost 8) year old boy!

Where does the time go?

Anyway...welcome to Five Question Friday! Or, at least the "sneak peek" for it!

New to 5QF? Well, welcome!! Been here awhile? Well, welcome back! I love having you all participate every week! Wondering what the heck "Five Question Friday" is? Well, it's only the best (yes, I'm biased) blog hop around! A perfect post for when your muses have gone MIA...prolly getting ready for Thanksgiving, or something.

Rules for 5QF: Copy and paste the following questions to your blog post, answer them, then watch for the linky post to appear Friday morning and LINK UP! Don't forget the very most important rule of all: HAVE FUN!!

Questions for Friday, November 18th: (Special thanks to @gasfamily, @_mycrazy4, @trooppetrie, @katieb38, and Sandy for their question suggestions! I'd love to link you in a future 5QF, so c'mon over to my BlogFrog community and offer up your best question suggestions...or watch for my weekly shout out on Thursdays and offer 'em up that way! Remember to @5crookedhalos me and use hashtag #5QF!)

1. Do you have a go to song that always puts you in a good mood?

2. Are you a real Christmas tree kinda person or do you go with a real fake one?

3. What are you thankful for?

4. Which fashion fad from the past do you wish you could wear today?

5. Do you wait until the "low fuel" light comes on before you fill up the gas tank?

See ya bright and early in the am!

Come here looking for the tutorial? It can be found here:  Halo Braid Tutorial!  Let me know how it goes! I had something in mind to try on Baby Girl's hair the other day...my best bud, Dr. J, did something similar to it on Belle once, and I was trying to replicate it. Instead, I got this: Isn't it pretty?! It didn't take nearly as long as it looks and isn't nearly as intricate as it looks! Vlog tutorial coming soon...(for those of you waiting, I'm sorry it's taking me so long!)

Halo Braid Tutorial!

How appropriate, "halo braid", no?! ;) Finally, I have this ready for you...I apologize for the delay! This braid looks intricate, but is really quite easy and quick to pull off...the original video (prior to the warp speed braiding...watch the video to see what I mean) was just a bit over 8 minutes long...not too shabby! So, here you go...right in time for you to try it out on your little girl for Easter!

Oh, hold it...wait just a sec (again)...actually, I got this recipe from Melissa...yes, the Melissa of this story ! And this story ...which, well...is the same story, just told two different ways! ;) So, you can thank her...I guess. Well, in any event...prepare your tastebuds to be tantalized! You'll need this: And, this: You'll also need chicken breasts or steak, but since photographing your "main ingredient" is, like, soooo passe, I've left it out. ( Ahem... ) Just keepin ' up with the times, friend. So...slice up those peppers and onions into cute little strips... And...try your best to not slice up the little fingers that are sneaking away pepper strips... (Lemme just inte
