1. What is one grammar issue you cannot let go without correction?

2. What's your favorite thing about fall?

3. What's your favourite dish to take to a potluck?

4. When do you start Christmas (Holiday) shopping?

5. Did you move homes a lot growing up?

----------------------------------------

1. What is one grammar issue you cannot let go without correction?

Grammar is one thing that can really annoy me. My grandma and my mom have really good grammar (wait, is "good grammar" good grammar?) and it rubbed off on me.

Speaking as well as written...for example, the your/you're debacle that so many people can't seem to understand? Note to you: your = possession as in "it is your thing", you're = you are as in "you are not using 'you're' properly if you're talking about your thing". They are not interchangeable.

My oldest child is fabulous with this...my younger ones? Not so much...not sure if they haven't gotten to that point in school yet or what, but it better be soon...MAMA'S GOIN' CRAZY!

Belle has started reading more, so I'm hoping that this helps her with it!

Another one is "don't" like "Don't that look good?" ARRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!! No..."DOESN'T that look good" makes me wanna claw my eyes out. Or, my ears, I guess.

2. What's your favorite thing about fall?

Cool weather...warm, hearty, stick to your ribs meals.

I can't wait to start cooking more! It's finally been cool out and I've been too busy to cook. Boo.

At least I've got my Gram to cook with...but she does most of the work and I just stand there and take pictures. Fair trade, I guess. ;)

3. What's your favourite dish to take to a potluck?

Whatever is the easiest thing I can think of? Is that a good answer?

Is it bad that I find it very hard to put much effort into a potluck?

A good fall back for me is Oriental Salad...coleslaw, ramen noodles, sunflower seeds, dressing.

Voila. Tasty, easy, portable. Done and done.

4. When do you start Christmas (Holiday) shopping?

Well, technically not until after Halloween...but this year? I've already got one present purchased! I'm so proud of myself!

I'm becoming a Zuilily and Groupon addict. I see a lot of gadget-y presents arriving this year. It's fun to get great stuff for an awesome price!

Bring it.

5. Did you move homes a lot growing up?

Not at all.

I lived in one house until I was 12, lived in that house until college, and then home every weekend.

I've moved more as an adult than I did as a kid. After college I rented a tiny little 2 bedroom house for a year, then bought my first home, hubs moved in when we got married, sold that and bought the home we currently live in...which we are prepping to get on the market at some point in the nearish future.

I've realized that at some point, it becomes easier to move than to deep clean your whole house. Like, just empty the sucker out and move into something else.

I'm totally at that point right now.

8 years worth of crap...I just want to pick it up and move on. Also, moving forces me to purge. I hang onto stuff that I'd never ever want to move with, so when I move, I toss. Maybe I just need to pretend like I'm moving to get organized?

Hmmmm...now there's a thought. ;)

Annnnnnnnd, goodnight! (Well, good morning for you, since this won't publish until morning!)

  2. I am so envious that you have officially started your Christmas shopping. I want to every year. I plan on it every year, but then I worry that I will buy something that will be the "deal of the year" on Black Friday. And I love Black Friday, so I wait to start.

Come here looking for the tutorial? It can be found here:  Halo Braid Tutorial!  Let me know how it goes! I had something in mind to try on Baby Girl's hair the other day...my best bud, Dr. J, did something similar to it on Belle once, and I was trying to replicate it. Instead, I got this: Isn't it pretty?! It didn't take nearly as long as it looks and isn't nearly as intricate as it looks! Vlog tutorial coming soon...(for those of you waiting, I'm sorry it's taking me so long!)

Halo Braid Tutorial!

How appropriate, "halo braid", no?! ;) Finally, I have this ready for you...I apologize for the delay! This braid looks intricate, but is really quite easy and quick to pull off...the original video (prior to the warp speed braiding...watch the video to see what I mean) was just a bit over 8 minutes long...not too shabby! So, here you go...right in time for you to try it out on your little girl for Easter!

Crock-Pot Fajitas

You! Yes, YOU!! You must stop whatevertheheck it is that you are doing, and make this recipe. Right now. Tonight. Well...wait. You should probably finish reading this post first...you know...so you know how to make it... But then...STOP! STOP everything, make this, and thank me later! Oh, hold it...wait just a sec (again)...actually, I got this recipe from Melissa...yes, the Melissa of this story ! And this story ...which, well...is the same story, just told two different ways! ;) So, you can thank her...I guess. Well, in any event...prepare your tastebuds to be tantalized! You'll need this: And, this: You'll also need chicken breasts or steak, but since photographing your "main ingredient" is, like, soooo passe, I've left it out. ( Ahem... ) Just keepin ' up with the times, friend. So...slice up those peppers and onions into cute little strips... And...try your best to not slice up the little fingers that are sneaking away pepper strips... (Lemme just inte
