Grief.


Tragedy struck our family last night.

Even as I type this out, I still can not believe it's true. Don't WANT to believe it's true.

Even as my heart hurts...the reality is too much to wrap my mind around.

The Mr.'s brother was killed in an accident last night. He was clearing snow from a shed, and fell through the roof.

He leaves behind his wife, their 7 children, and a wonderful legacy. He was involved in the community, impacted many of our youth, left his mark where ever he went, and is incredibly loved.

He will be missed more than you can ever imagine.

Please pray for his family, and for all of us to find the strength we need to get through this.

    Oh no, I am so sorry! I understand how hard it is to grasp something like that. I lost my nephew in September and I couldn't believe it for the longest timne.

    There just are no words for times such as these. I'm praying for your family and his that God will give you the strength to make it through the next weeks when lots of decisions must be made and tears shed and plans finalized and good-byes murmured through trembling lips. I am no stranger to tragedy, Mama M, and you can get through this most difficult time with all of the prayers surrounding you and your family. I am sorry for your loss.

    I read your blog every day and never have left a comment before. My heart breaks for those children and all the family involved. I lost my dad in a terrible accident when I was only 14 and I know how it has affected me. I will pray for you all often..

    it breaks my hear to hear such things. My cousin had this same tragedy hit her just 6 months ago. Her husband fell while trimming a tree. I know that it is a very hard time for your family. We are thinking of you....

    I'm so sorry! This is such sad news... there are some long days ahead for this family. I think one of the hardest times for a grieving family is after the funeral. During the funeral preparations- lots of people are around and the can SEE and FEEL all of the support. But then- after that everyone's lives go back to normal.... expect theirs- this is the time they will really need support and encouragement. My heart BREAKS for your family. As I lost my own mother at the age of 5! I will be sending many prayers there way- for months to come!

    I saw this story on the news, and kept thinking I knew this man from somewhere. My Man has family near Little Falls, but couldn't put my finger on where I knew him from....Then, I checked your blog and it clicked. He looks so much like your Mr! My husband's little brother was killed in a car accident when he was 23 years old. I understand the hurts and all the feelings that go with a tragedy like this. Know that it does get easier but it can be a process... just know that I am here for you if you ever need to talk (not like we are close but sometimes it is easier to talk to a faceless stranger...)
