Wow.

So, does anyone else feel like Christmas comes and goes so fast every year? Seriously, it won't be long and we'll be preparing for it all over again only to have it *POOF* be over in .073 seconds like it is every year.

One of my friends on Facebook posted something that made me smile...she said, "Merry Christmas! Remember, Christmas is only just beginning...the three kings are on their way!"

I loved it! It was a fresh new perspective for me and made me feel like I CAN still enjoy the Christmas season!

Only then, I got hit with some sort of tummy bug and totally took away and all desire to enjoy ANYTHING except for my bed and sleep. 24 hours later though, and I'm as good as new!

I can NOT wait to show you our lantern release. CAN. NOT. WAIT. But, that deserves a post all of it's own. It was awesome. Christmas Day with the Mister's side was fabulous. Emotional, but wonderful. Lot's of laughter amongst the tears.

Oh, and...I got a really fun gift from the hubs! Wait, let me get it so I can show you. Hold please...

Okay, I'm back...didja miss me? Gosh, I could've at least played a little Muzak for you while I was gone. What kind of a blog hostess am I?

Anyway...this is my fun present:

I am so excited...but I feel guilty. I'm guessing that the tickets are fairly spendy...and "fairly spendy" isn't in the budget right now. So, we'll see if it actually happens...but SO FUN!!! if it does!

In other news, you know The Pioneer Woman? Perhaps you've heard of her? ;) And, if you've heard of her, chances are you know of the wonderful and extremely popular giveaways she has on her blog? You know, the ones with 30,000++ entrants every time?

Guess what?! One of my friends WON one of her giveaways!!! She Facebooked last night (Hi Ang!!) about how much fun she was having with her new Nook and I feel sorta like I know someone famous. I mean, winning one of those giveaways is like winning the lottery!

Okay, so that's it for now. I need to go replenish some of the fluids I lost yesterday...and no, I didn't vomit, so YOU guess where I lost fluids from. Grody, I know.

See you soon! Maybe I'll even give you a fun little sneak peek at the lantern release before the post? Yes? No?

We'll see!

  3. Glad you're feeling better. It sounds like you had the same nasty bug that the hubs and I had. Gone in a day (more like 2 or 3 for me).
Can't wait to see the lanterns!

  4. Yes, Christmas goes by way way too fast. So much preparation and it's over in a flash! But I know next Christmas will be here before you know it. But until then, breathe....

  6. I do understand that feeling of "Poof!" it's over! I blogged about it earlier this week. No matter how hard you try to hold onto it, it ends. :( However, good things come again, especially your concert! :) Congrats to your friend on the Pioneer Woman contest!

Come here looking for the tutorial? It can be found here:  Halo Braid Tutorial!  Let me know how it goes! I had something in mind to try on Baby Girl's hair the other day...my best bud, Dr. J, did something similar to it on Belle once, and I was trying to replicate it. Instead, I got this: Isn't it pretty?! It didn't take nearly as long as it looks and isn't nearly as intricate as it looks! Vlog tutorial coming soon...(for those of you waiting, I'm sorry it's taking me so long!)

Halo Braid Tutorial!

How appropriate, "halo braid", no?! ;) Finally, I have this ready for you...I apologize for the delay! This braid looks intricate, but is really quite easy and quick to pull off...the original video (prior to the warp speed braiding...watch the video to see what I mean) was just a bit over 8 minutes long...not too shabby! So, here you go...right in time for you to try it out on your little girl for Easter!

Crock-Pot Fajitas

You! Yes, YOU!! You must stop whatevertheheck it is that you are doing, and make this recipe. Right now. Tonight. Well...wait. You should probably finish reading this post first...you know...so you know how to make it... But then...STOP! STOP everything, make this, and thank me later! Oh, hold it...wait just a sec (again)...actually, I got this recipe from Melissa...yes, the Melissa of this story ! And this story ...which, well...is the same story, just told two different ways! ;) So, you can thank her...I guess. Well, in any event...prepare your tastebuds to be tantalized! You'll need this: And, this: You'll also need chicken breasts or steak, but since photographing your "main ingredient" is, like, soooo passe, I've left it out. ( Ahem... ) Just keepin ' up with the times, friend. So...slice up those peppers and onions into cute little strips... And...try your best to not slice up the little fingers that are sneaking away pepper strips... (Lemme just inte
