I'm not. I promise.

I promise. I'm not jumping on the bandwagon. I'm not much of a bandwagon jumper...unless one of our local high school teams make it to state. Or, if the Twins start dominating MLB. And, maybe, perhaps, if the Vikings start to kick some booty.

Which we know didn't happen this year.

BUT. I feel like I need just a wee bit of toning before Mexico. And, I have about 2 weeks to do so.

So, GET THIS. I'm brilliant. I'm going to swim. 1 mile. Everyday. Until we leave.

Which, at this time of the year, looks TOTALLY like bandwagon jumping. But I PROMISE, that I would be doing this even if it were March 19th or May 31st or July 23rd...although, I might have had to stage a coup if my brother decided to get married in Mexico on July 23rd.

I'm also thinking about trying the "Skinny Girl Cleanse". (Do you sense my desperation? A work out schedule AND a cleanse? Yes.) Anyone know anything about that?

Or, at this stage of the game am I just SOL no matter what and I might as well just forget doing anything and go back to the couch with my bag of Doritos?

'Cuz I'll bet you can guess what I'd rather do.

  1. Hmmm...I say, swim if and when you can. Everyday may get to be too much and you'll give up and go back to your Doritos anyway. As for the cleanse...(don't know about Skinny Girl Cleanse) my daughter does that at least twice a year and feels so much better afterwards.
I'm sure you look fine anyway...but best of luck to you! Have fun in Mexico!!

  2. I would say no to the cleanse...the only real cleanse (and I'd not recommend doing it more than once in your life, prior to a huge lifestyle overhaul) is Colonix.

Just drink a lot of water, maybe with some lemon, and let your body do its job. :) A lot of people think they need to "cleanse" when all they really need to do is cut out a lot of preservatives, sugars, etc in what they're eating.

    Our poor old bodies.

  4. Who cares about bandwagons, you are doing it to help yourself feel better, and if there is motivation then use it to your advantage! You can do it!

Come here looking for the tutorial? It can be found here:  Halo Braid Tutorial!  Let me know how it goes! I had something in mind to try on Baby Girl's hair the other day...my best bud, Dr. J, did something similar to it on Belle once, and I was trying to replicate it. Instead, I got this: Isn't it pretty?! It didn't take nearly as long as it looks and isn't nearly as intricate as it looks! Vlog tutorial coming soon...(for those of you waiting, I'm sorry it's taking me so long!)

Halo Braid Tutorial!

How appropriate, "halo braid", no?! ;) Finally, I have this ready for you...I apologize for the delay! This braid looks intricate, but is really quite easy and quick to pull off...the original video (prior to the warp speed braiding...watch the video to see what I mean) was just a bit over 8 minutes long...not too shabby! So, here you go...right in time for you to try it out on your little girl for Easter!

You'll need this: And, this: You'll also need chicken breasts or steak, but since photographing your "main ingredient" is, like, soooo passe, I've left it out. ( Ahem... ) Just keepin ' up with the times, friend. So...slice up those peppers and onions into cute little strips... And...try your best to not slice up the little fingers that are sneaking away pepper strips... (Lemme just inte...
