Blog Hop! Intro...

Welcome to My Little Life! I figured I've gotta try out this new "blog hop" thing...sorta feel like I should be wearing a poodle skirt and saddle shoes, but since I've just returned from work, my germy scrubs and smudged make-up will have to suffice! Sigh...sorry I didn't pretty myself up for you. I'm relatively new to this whole blog world...feel free to offer up suggestions to me! I started my blog as a sort of "scrapbook" of sorts. I'm not a scrapbooker (no time, even less patience) and I thought this would be a fab way for me to highlight the, well, highlights of our life! I am married to a wonderful man, I call him Mr. Wonderful (well, you know, on my blog...not in real life) and I have five fantastic kiddos! I am awestruck, daily, that God has blessed me with the life He did...and I try to remind myself of this when I have a "my name's not Mom" kind of day! I moonlight as a labor and delivery and pediatric nurse...a career I love and hate at the same time. Nuthin' worse than being mom and a pediatric nurse (well, okay, I am sure there are some things worse!). Okay, so I'll stop with the "introductions" now! Hope you'll have a little peek at the rest of my blog!

  13. Nice to meet you! Five kiddos to run after, it's a good thing hubby IS Mr. Wonderful to help you out. Love the cute contest you had to choose a tagline for the series of photos. How creative and fun. Also had to laugh over wet lap. We're enjoying the fun of potty training and it seems never ending. But that's happened to me too only I was out in public. Not very fun walking around with a wet lap, got quite a few looks. Wanted to tell them, hey I AM potty trained I swear☺

  24. Great to meet you on the blog hop. I'm mom to 5, but together we have 6. I've often thought I missed my calling as a labor and delivery nurse and became a teacher instead. I would love to go back as the kids get older, but we'll say what His plan is for us. Can't wait to read more.

  33. I adore this whole blog hopping meme! It's so nice to meet you and all the wonderful participants. What a journey of encouragement!

I was a peds nurse, too. I stopped nursing as a career a little over two years ago, just before my son had his kidney transplant. Now, I work from home.

    I'm following you, now.

I'd like to invite everyone here to Blog it Forward. Share your inspirational journeys and award those who inspire you with the 'Inspirational Blog Award.'

All the blogs I have hopped to so far have touched my heart in so many, many ways. I would like to spread the encouragement to the rest of the blogging realm.

Come here looking for the tutorial? It can be found here:  Halo Braid Tutorial!  Let me know how it goes! I had something in mind to try on Baby Girl's hair the other day...my best bud, Dr. J, did something similar to it on Belle once, and I was trying to replicate it. Instead, I got this: Isn't it pretty?! It didn't take nearly as long as it looks and isn't nearly as intricate as it looks! Vlog tutorial coming soon...(for those of you waiting, I'm sorry it's taking me so long!)

Halo Braid Tutorial!

How appropriate, "halo braid", no?! ;) Finally, I have this ready for you...I apologize for the delay! This braid looks intricate, but is really quite easy and quick to pull off...the original video (prior to the warp speed braiding...watch the video to see what I mean) was just a bit over 8 minutes long...not too shabby! So, here you go...right in time for you to try it out on your little girl for Easter!

Crock-Pot Fajitas

You! Yes, YOU!! You must stop whatevertheheck it is that you are doing, and make this recipe. Right now. Tonight. Well...wait. You should probably finish reading this post first...you know...so you know how to make it... But then...STOP! STOP everything, make this, and thank me later! Oh, hold it...wait just a sec (again)...actually, I got this recipe from Melissa...yes, the Melissa of this story ! And this story ...which, well...is the same story, just told two different ways! ;) So, you can thank her...I guess. Well, in any event...prepare your tastebuds to be tantalized! You'll need this: And, this: You'll also need chicken breasts or steak, but since photographing your "main ingredient" is, like, soooo passe, I've left it out. ( Ahem... ) Just keepin ' up with the times, friend. So...slice up those peppers and onions into cute little strips... And...try your best to not slice up the little fingers that are sneaking away pepper strips... (Lemme just inte...
